About the Living Apocrypha Project

The Christian spiritual tradition contains a wealth of scripture that did not make it into canon. Interest in apocryphal and non-canonical texts is at an all-time high, but there are very few interpretations of these non-canonical texts available in modern language. As such, it is difficult for the modern reader to appreciate many of the amazing stories and subtle spiritual truths found in these works.

The texts presented here are not translations from the original languages of composition, but reimaginings of these timeless stories in such a way that modern audiences might finally appreciate the wealth of information contained therein, and the living tradition that they represent. Sources will include extant apocryphal Christian Acts, Gospels, etc. from a variety of different traditions.
